The Beta 25 marine engine requires regular maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Here’s a general maintenance schedule:

Daily Maintenance:

• Check Engine Oil Level: Ensure oil is at the correct level and top up if necessary.
• Check Coolant Level: Ensure coolant is at the correct level and top up if necessary.
• Inspect Belts and Hoses: Look for any signs of wear or damage.

Monthly Maintenance:

• Change Engine Oil and Filter: Replace the engine oil and oil filter.
• Check Fuel System: Inspect fuel filters and replace if necessary.
• Inspect Air Filter: Clean or replace the air filter as needed.
• Check Battery Connections: Ensure battery terminals are clean and tight.

Quarterly Maintenance:

• Check Alternator Belt Tension: Adjust if necessary.
• Inspect Cooling System: Check for any leaks and ensure the heat exchanger is functioning properly.
• Lubricate Moving Parts: Apply lubricant to engine components as specified in the manual.

Annual Maintenance:

• Replace Fuel Filters: Replace primary and secondary fuel filters.
• Inspect Exhaust System: Check for any signs of corrosion or damage.
• Check Seawater Pump: Inspect and clean the seawater pump.
• Lay Up for Winter: If applicable, follow winterization procedures to protect the engine during storage.

Every 2-3 Years:

• Replace Anodes: Replace sacrificial anodes to prevent corrosion.
• Inspect and Replace Belts: Replace belts as needed.
• Check Torque Settings: Ensure all bolts and nuts are torqued to the manufacturer’s specifications.
